For the past two decades, Jena Questen DVM, CertAqV, has worked with animals around the world. A recognized authority on fish medicine, animal behavior, and holistic medicine, she has been honored consistently for her compassionate intellect and animal rescue endeavors. Her charity, the Prince of Flame Fund, provides discounted veterinary care and education to inner-city youth, senior citizens, and the disabled, and provides care for multiple rescued animals at her facility in Colorado, the Resqranch. Dr. Questen has directly impacted the lives of hundreds of animal loving people, in countries around the globe, through her writings, teaching, public speaking engagements and live events.
What began as a little girl’s desire to help animals, and to transform the quality of their lives has grown into her lifelong crusade as she is called on by animal lovers, and industry leaders from every walk of life, teachers, parents, animal trainers, and animal lovers of all kinds who are seeking to improve the bond between animals and their people. Additionally she is a certified veterinary acupuncturist with training in natural medicine, a member of the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, she also served as the one and only Technical Veterinarian for the entire United States division of Novartis Aqua Health, and is the 21st person in the world to achieve the CertAqV designation for work in aquatic animal medicine.
